Region:Comunidad de Madrid

What are the organisation's main activities?
Colegio Joyfe / Joyfe School incorporates all levels of education, from the age of 2 all the way through to 18, when the
students finish the Spanish Baccalaureate and take the University Entrance exam. It is also possible to study vocational
courses corresponding to the middle and superior modules.
The school strives to meet a very high academic level with the majority of students continuing all the way through to the end
of the Baccalaureate and achieving a 100% pass rate for the University Entrance exam. We offer all the academic subjects
you would expect with a special focus on the English language which students start learning at the age of 2 when they enter
into our bilingual teaching method on day one. While we consider ourselves to be a Bilingual school we achieve this by
offering an increased number of English classes rather than teaching fundamental science subjects in English. However, at
different stages throughout the school, we offer PE, music and art in English.
What are the organisation's activities in the field of this application?
We offer a wide variety of extra-curricular activities such as cookery, fashion design (both taught in English), Robotics,
chess, French (also a core subject as of the age of 6), Chinese, and arts and crafts, not to mention the enormous range of
sports that can be played at lunchtime as well as after school.
The school is already participating in a number of Erasmus + projects, and they are turning out to be very rewarding
experiences. As a school we are always looking at ways to increase awareness of the world at large and interact on an
international scale both for the benefit of the students and for the staff. Also, with language learning a key focus of the
school, we like to motivate our students by showing them not only that they need languages, but also that they are capable
of using them. Erasmus + projects give us all the chance to form part of something far bigger than the limits of the Joyfe
School walls.
What profiles and age groups of learners are concerned by the organisation’s work?
Students from 15 to 18 yeares old will take part in the project as well as their teadhers.
The school is not new to International projects, having language exchanges or immersion programs to England, USA,
Canada, Ireland, Holland, Germany and France up and running. We also are part of a project regarding the Holocaust and
run an annual trip to Poland. Furthermore, our school is owned by a Swedish Educational group (IEPGROUP) giving us
contact with other schools in Spain and Europe. The high level of English of many of our staff as well as of our students
means that communication should be easy. Beyond that, we have plenty of enthusiasm and energy to offer, and are
supported by families who are always encouraging their children to take part in new adventures.

What are the organisation's main activities?
Since we are a school, our main activities are to educate young people for a new level of education. As a school, we are
trying to give our pupils best in class education, combining with new technologies. This is our main reason to apply for
different kinds of activities that involve new technologies, a new type of educational process.
Our school has a long tradition of teaching, while in recent years we want as many EU projects and projects outside the
standard as possible to improve the work.
We are trying to implement new technologies in teaching, learning and creating content.
Last, but not less important is our focus on art and literature. As a school, we try to focus on STEAM (Science, technology,
engineering, art and math). We think that new technologies can be complement with art and literature.
What are the organisation's activities in the field of this application?
Our pupils and teachers, almost every year, for state competition in programming, create web applications that help
teachers and pupils in every school in our county to have reliable information regarding school and education at any time.
This year we created an interactive timetable framework/application for the local city bus. A framework is created in a way
that offers small towns, with a lower budget to create their own interactive timetable for local buses. We are partnering with
world most famous IT company Infobip in their Sparks program. Every year, our pupils are going to their headquarters in
Vodnjan to learn about implementing new technologies (https://www.gimnazijapula.hr/infobip-sparks-program-suradnja/).
Zajednica tehničke kulture Pula (organization that works with young people in learning STEM subjects, is also our partner.
Our teacher and librarian Nikola Vujačić is the lead educator in his school Gimnazija Pula
(https://www.gimnazijapula.hr/programiranje/).
What profiles and age groups of learners are concerned by the organisation’s work?
Gimnazija Pula is high school so we are educating pupils in range of 14 – 18 years old. With our projects, we prepare and
educate students for higher levels of education or for the labor market that is more than ever looking for a skilled workforce
with a very good foundation of computer literacy. Through the educations we hold as part of elective or extracurricular
educations, students will not only know basic IT skills, but will be better informed about technologies that provide
interactivity, a graphical interface to the end user.

In these changing times, students are more driven towards using a mobile phone for reaching the apps.
We strongly believe that by using educational apps, students can enhance their knowledge base and can increase their

We have 14-18 years old students and they are Turkish. Most of them have middle-income working parents. there is a nice
atmosphere at school. Because our goals are to create a community of teachers and students who focus on innovative
teaching and learning; our students share their experiences with their class mates, try to use technology effectively in
education and work with a team successfully.
In our school, it is very important for a student both to improve himself/herself and to experience new things in the area in
which he/she is interested.
There may be differences in the socio-economic status of the students. However, this situation has been reduced to a
minimum thanks to the atmosphere of trust and school facilities.
Disadvantaged student groups feel more comfortable, especially thanks to our trained teachers.
In this way, students can express themselves better. When students feel safe, more creative ideas are presented and more
What are the concrete objectives you would like to achieve and 'outcomes or results you would like to realise'? How are
these objectives linked to the priorities you have selected?
The project was created in response to two key concerns identified at the school level: the need to improve students'
enthusiasm for learning and, as a result, their academic performance, and the need to foster intercultural communication
between people from various nations and backgrounds, in a European context that is currently facing major challenges. As a
result, the project's concentration is divided into two independent paths. On the one hand, by allowing students to utilize the
computer in their studies, we hope to increase their interest in their own learning and thereby improve their performance and
productivity. On the other side, we want children to understand what European values entail. This collaboration includes the
schools that deals with issues of diversity because it has students from many ethnic groups in Spain, Turkey, Croatia. The
schools deal with these issues explicitly because their student populations are a mix of religions and races. Three schools
have discriminatory issues. We will educate kids the virtues of empathy, mutual respect, and tolerance through
technologically enhanced English and Civil education sessions. We will compile these lessons into an e-book, and the
project's outcomes will benefit all teachers and students.
